KMEISA Instrumentación y Servicios Mecánicos S.A. de C.V. received from Special Purpose Company DUNOR Energia , a consortium of 2 Spanish Companies – Duro Felguera and Elecnor, the contract for the execution of the Electrical BOP and Instrumentation works associated with the EmpalmeII combined cycle power plant.

The BOP works included:

• Electrical Substation Works
• HV / MV Generator and Auxiliary Transformers
• Isolated Phase Bus Systems including Aluminum Welding
• Power distribution System including MV / LV and DC Switchgear
• UPS and Batteries
• Cable Containment Systems
• 230 km Power Cabling and Connection
• Instrumentation
• Above Ground Earthing System
• Lightning Protection System
• All associated Construction Testing

The project concluded in late January 2018 having spent 150,000 LTI free man-hours.
