KMEISA initially received from Grupo Avanzia the contract for the pipe rack foundation works in the Altamira Cogeneration Project.

This Civil scope of works included surveying, excavations, falseworks and formworks, reinforcement steel, structural concrete works, back filling and compaction.

As a result of our performance we were assigned additional scope to execute the electrical and instrumentation works which included cable containment systems, installation of conduit and accessories as wells as cabling and connections.

Specific quantities installed comprise:
• MV Cable Laying                                                7,000 mts
• LV Cable Laying                                               60,000 mts
• Control Cable Laying                                     13,000 mts
• Control Cable Connections                                 900 connec.
• Instrument Cable Laying                              45,000 mts
• Instrument Cable Connections                   10,600 connec.
• Cable Tray Installation                                     2,000 mts
• Conduit Installation                                          8,500 mts
• Containment Support Structures               25,000 kg.

The works concluded in August 2018 having achieved approximately 190,000 safe man-hours.

This project again demonstrates KMEISA’s ability to undertake multidiscipline construction projects.
